Hoping, dreaming and wishing.
Isn't that something we all do?
What if you know it is pointless to do so, knowing that when reality sets in you'll just be disappointed? Do you just harden up your heart and stop hoping, dreaming and wishing? Or do you continue to hope, dream and wish, telling yourself that you can do that if and only if you are prepared to be disappointed? Putting only half of ourselves into hoping, dreaming and wishing for what we what, does it even count as hoping, dreaming and wishing?
Should we actually let disappointment turn us into heartless and world-weary creatures who do not even dare to hope, dream or wish?
I hope not. But alas, I'm hoping again.
